The fourth stage begins in Padola, part of the municiplaity of Comelico Superiore located in the province of Belluno, with the finish line on Monte Quarin, in the province of Gorizia.

PADOLA – COMELICO SUPERIORE
Padola is part of Comelico Superiore which is the last municipality of the Veneto Region and the province of Belluno; it borders with Austria and is located at 1215m. above sea level. The town is located among the Dolomite peaks, in one of the most welcoming and naturalistically fascinating areas of Europe.
At sunset, the Dolomite peaks take the soft shades of pink in the setting sun: enrosadira, a phenomenon typical of these enchanted mountains.
MONTE QUARIN CORMONS
North of Cormòns, lies Monte Quarin, at 274m. high it acts as a natural backdrop to the town, reminding those who see it that the Collio starts there and that Cormòns is its capital. Here arose the Roman Castrum, which made it a point of defense and observation. From its top you can admire a splendid panorama that sweeps from the Alps to the Collio and on to the sea.
The wine and cherry road winds through the Collio of Gorizia between its gentle slopes marked by vineyards and fruit trees. It was inaugurated in 1963, with the aim of making known the wineries of the area, placed outside the normal traffic routes.
